§ 26-33. Compensation.

  • Occasionally, an auxiliary officer may be requested to work in place of a full-time officer; in cases such as this, the auxiliary officer may be compensated at an hourly rate as set and approved by the town manager. (Auxiliary officers shall only work hours as directed by the chief of police upon prior approval of the town manager.) Auxiliary officers are not subject to additional employee benefits, except that they will be provided worker's compensation insurance as required by the state worker's compensation act.
