§ 12-40. Fire department members subject to fire department personnel policies.

(a)

All members of the fire department shall be subject to fire department personnel policies.

(b)

In keeping with the council-manager form of government, all appointments to the fire department shall be subject to the final approval of the town manager. Appointments to vacant positions shall be based upon the recommendations made by the fire chief and/or the department's membership.

(c)

All members of the fire department shall be subject to rules and regulations adopted for the operation of the fire department by the fire chief, acting under the supervision of the town manager.
